Welcome to Judith’s Boutique and Alteration
Specializing in bridal gown and beaded formal dress alterations Congratulations you’re getting married. You have viewed all the bridal magazines stopped in all the bridal boutiques, tried on a number of gowns at last you have found “The One”. After all of your invested time you have selected the most beautiful wedding gown in the world. If you have purchased your gown from a bridal boutique, or from an online company you will need to have your wedding gown altered, and these alterations should be done by an “Alteration Specialist or Dressmaker”. There is no such thing as “a nip baste and tuck” when it comes to a wedding gown. Each bride has a unique body type, and bridal gowns are manufactured on a standard scale. Some body types require very little while others require a great deal of work. Ideally your bridal consultant had you purchase a gown, (in terms of size) for the largest part of your body, i.e. bust, waist or hips. At the very least you will have to have your gown hemmed and bustled. This creates a number of challenges for a person who does the alteration therefore, the person altering your wedding gown should be experienced in the bridal alteration field so that your gown is altered perfectly .
